Andrew Zhao RMT
Andrew graduated from the program of Registered Massage Therapy at Langara College. He also graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2009 with a BA (in Criminology and a minor in Psychology). He has had an interest in massage therapy after receiving treatments to help heal from a motor vehicle accident. Relating to stress management and providing patient comfort, Andrew hopes to give back the same therapeutic experience he received.
Andrew understands each patient presents in a unique way. His approach to therapy is to identify and treat the cause of dysfunction. Some of his techniques include myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilizations, active therapy, and Swedish massage. He has experience in treating headaches, motor vehicle accident injuries, low back pain, piriformis syndrome, and pregnancy massage.
In Andrew’s spare time, he can be found working out in the gym, or spending time with family and friends.
He accepts: cash, credit card, e-transfer, cheque (debit and debit-credit are not accepted). He can also direct bill: Pacific Blue Cross and Green Shield.

Toyomi Tanaka graduated from the five-year Doctor of TCM course at the International College of TCM in Vancouver and Vancouver college of Shiatsu.
Toyomi has more than 17 years of experience in various healing fields and created her own unique style combining the use of Shiatsu, acupuncture, massage and Chinese herbs to treat disease, boost the immune system, and improve and balance your general health. Her techniques include acupuncture, moxabustion, cranio-sacral therapy, lymph drainage, shiatsu, reiki, and meditation. Her treatments address a wide variety of conditions including: anxiety/panic attacks, all pain syndromes, insomnia, digestive complaints, and hormonal imbalances.
She has just returned from an eight month meditation training in South Korea and is looking foward to incorporating her new skills into her therapy.

Samantha began her exploration of the human form by studying the brain at the University of British Columbia. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology and then continued on to graduate school to examine how the brain processes information. Upon completion of her Masters in Psychology, Samantha wanted a more comprehensive understanding of the body and worked in the health field for 6 years. It is at this time that she discovered her true passion; Massage Therapy. She graduated from Utopia Academy’s Faculty of Massage Therapy program in 2010 and is an active registrant of the College of Massage Therapists of B.C.
Her approach to therapy is to identify and treat the source of pain or dysfunction. She is concerned with bringing balance to the body in order to bring an end to discomfort. By working with muscle tissue, fascia, the nervous system, ligaments, organs and bones, Samantha aims to bring stability and relief to problem areas. She still has an enthusiasm for research and in 2010 won first prize in the Massage Therapy Association’s Clinical Case Report Award.
Learning continues to be a passion for Sam. Since 2012 she has taught Neurology to future RMTs at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She strives to pass on a love of learning to her students and works hard to make the course as inspiring and as up to date as she can.
Her own continuing education in massage therapy has focused on Visceral Manipulation, Fascial Release Techniques and Cranial Sacral Therapy.

Hoa Mi began her career as a massage therapist in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving her certification in the integrated program at the Atlanta School of Massage in 2003. She moved to Vancouver in 2005 and worked in a reputable spa as a bodyworker until she enrolled at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She graduated in 2009. Hoa Mi believes that treatments should have a holistic approach and that good communication with clients is essential. Tomomi Shibuya graduated from International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver. Tomomi’s quiet and gentle needling focuses on correcting the whole body imbalance. She often combines acupuncture and Moxa (herbal heat therapy) . Together they work deeply to relax stressed body and mind.
Moxa cones are made of the medicinal herb, mugwort. It’s placed on the skin and lit up to give quite pleasant warmth until it’s removed when 80-90% burned, thus leaving no burning sensation. A Japanese study shows Moxa treatment stimulates parasympathetic nerves(relaxing), and improves the movement of white blood cells, improves movement of white blood cells, enhances blood circulation and immunity.
For these properties acupuncture and Moxa treatment effectively treats various pains and inflammatory conditions such as allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, digestive complaints, gynaecological problems, anxiety and sleeping disorders and other dis-eases.

Gwyn Davies is an RMT and graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy 2007. Gwyn incorporates a variety of techniques into her massage treatments including: Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, deep tissue massage, joint mobilizations, hydrotherapy, and remedial exercises.

A former instructor at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, Petra spent close to five years sharing her knowledge with future RMTs, and has always done the same for her clients in the clinic through patient education. Petra incorporates homecare advice into treatments to help clients discover ways that they can potentially improve their quality of movement, and proactively decrease some of the discomfort that may be present in their body.
Outside the clinic, Petra enjoys a health-focused lifestyle spending her time learning more about the body, and what makes it tick well. A lover of the outdoors, you can often find her in the mountains spending time with Mother Nature, or tending to her garden at home.
